Product Description

The plastic casting oil nylon gear, also known as monomer casting nylon (MC nylon), is widely used in various industries due to its superior properties. It is formed by melting caprolactam monomer and pouring it into molds at atmospheric pressure. This process allows for the production of different castings such as rods, plates, and tubes. MC nylon has a higher molecular weight compared to other nylon materials, resulting in enhanced mechanical properties.

Guangzhou Engineering Plastics Industries Company has been at the forefront of developing MC nylon modification technology since the late 1980s. By adding various additives during the reaction, such as lubricants, molybdenum disulfide, graphite, glass fiber, and carbon fiber, the properties of MC nylon can be further improved. These modifications result in increased wear-resistance, corrosion-resistance, self-lubrication, vibration-absorption, and noise-absorption capabilities. Additionally, the simple manufacturing process and cost-effectiveness make MC nylon an ideal substitute for bronze, stainless steel, babbitt alloy, PTFE, and other materials.

The oil nylon variant, specifically the green type, was developed to address the needs of non-self-lubricating, heavy-loading, and low-speed-running parts. It significantly improves bearing life, offering five times the lifespan of general PA6 and 25 times that of phosphor bronze. The lubricant contained within the material ensures constant performance throughout the gear’s service life, providing benefits such as improved wear resistance, sliding frictional properties, abrasion resistance, and stick slip performance. Oil nylon has expanded the application of nylon in various industries, especially for un-lubricated running parts.

Other variants of casting nylon include oil nylon + carbon (black), which features a compact and crystal structure, providing high mechanical strength, wear-resistance, anti-aging, and UV resistance. This variant is suitable for making bearings and other wear mechanical parts. Oil MC901 (blue) possesses remarkable toughness, flexibility, and fatigue resistance, making it perfect for gears, gear bars, and transmission gear. MC nylon + MSO2 (light black) retains the impact-resistance and fatigue-resistance of casting nylon while improving loading capacity and wear-resistance. It is commonly used in gear, bearing, planet gear, and seal circle manufacturing.
